Over the past 6 years Wesley has been working towards his Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Health Co-operative Education. His degree has been extended to 6 years because of his numerous commitments related to his degree. From 2008–2012 Wesley committed and dedicated himself to playing Varsity soccer for the University of Victoria Vikes. He also spent numerous hours actively coaching soccer in the city of Victoria from 2008-present. Wesley currently is finishing his 5th year coaching for Saanich Fusion with an under 18 boys group who are currently preparing to compete in the 2014 Provincial B cup tournament in July. Wesley is the Head coach for the St. Micheals University School, senior boys soccer team as well as the head coach for the under 16 HPL team, a group of 1998 born players who have been targeted as the best players on the island for their age group. Wesley spent 2 years running his own program for players from age 12-15. These player programs involved training sessions, games, travel, personal growth, and mental strength training to help players fully develop into not only quality soccer players, but good people as well. Wesley recently Co founded the not-for-profit Sports Management Society, EPIC Sport. Wesley has found his passion in player development and teaching young players. He likes to think of himself as a decision trainer or a teacher of the game, rather then a soccer coach. Wesley feels that 'coaches' are figures who need to guide and teach players to learn and understand the game as appose to coaching them to win, in order to ensure constant growth.
